This easy to grow fern loves half to full shade with a well draining moist site. Now hardiness, so people say anything between 10-0c, I have experimented with this fern and it has gone though -3c. I expect it will not go through much more than this, but if on the south coast or in a very sheltered spot it might go through the winter outside.
